If you’re in Tokyo, get a chance to see unique kimono designs inspired by over 200 countries organized by IMAGINE ONE WORLD, an organization that promotes cultural exchange between countries through kimono.
Each kimono represents a specific country and designed based on the information provided by the embassy of each country, depicting their natural environment, culture and/or history. These kimonos were then created by using traditional techniques from various regions in Japan.
The event includes traditional Japanese performances and workshops such as Noh, Kyogen, Nihon buyo and showing the process required to dress a ceremonial kimono called Junihitoe.
