Metsa (メッツァ) is a Nordic-style theme park just on the shore of Lake Miyazawa in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. It consists of Metsa Village, which is an area that introduces you to the Nordic lifestyle, and Moominvalley Park, an area where you can meet the beloved “trolls” and friends from the world of the Moomins.
The Moomins were originally created by Finnish author Tove Jansson and continues to be popular in many countries, including Japan, to this day. Moominvalley Park in Hanno is the first Moomin theme park outside of Finland and provides an immersive experience, where you can peek into the lives of these loveable characters from the Moomins.
Metsa Village consists of numerous outdoor activities, workshops, stores, and restaurants which includes Nordic, as well as local produce.
