Asahikawa 21st Century Forest Fureai Plaza (旭川市21世紀の森ふれあい広場) is adjacent to the Asahikawa 21st Century Forest, a multi-purpose park developed around the Pepan Dam. In addition to approximately 50 vehicle-accessible sites, there are tent sites (pets allowed) and outdoor cooking facilities. The 10-meter observatory overlooks the mountain range and offers seasonal views. Nearby, there is a log cabin lodging and training facility, a park golf course at Seseragi Koryu Hiroba, a family zone with a grill house, and a simple “Morinoyu” hot spring bathing facility.
